9 one-page nonfiction fact passages for Fundations® Level 2, Unit 6: one passage for each lesson day of the unit (Unit 6 • Week 1 • Day 1 through Week 2 • Day 4). Each passage is decodable: it uses only the sounds and trick words taught up to that day, so students can read real facts on their own.

Every page has a short passage (100–108 words), a labeled watercolor picture, a Fact Box with key facts and a “Did you know?” line with one more surprising fact. On the back are 4 written comprehension questions with lines for full-sentence answers: what the text is about, a detail from the text, a question about the labeled picture, and one new thing the student learned. A 3-page answer key gives sample full-sentence answers.

Use it right after each day's lesson for small-group reading, independent reading, a quick comprehension check, take-home reading or fluency practice (each passage asks students to read it two times).
