Fundations®-Aligned Maze Passages · Level 1 Set (Units 2–14)

All 120 one-page maze passages for Fundations® Level 1 in one bundle: Units 2–14, four for each of the 30 weeks, 60 stories and 60 short nonfiction passages. Every word is decodable through the last lesson day of its week or is a taught trick word, and that week's trick words are in bold.

A maze is a short passage with a missing word about every seventh word; the first sentence is left whole. At each gap the student sees three words stacked in a small box: one fits, one is a real word that does not make sense there, and one does not fit the grammar. The student reads silently and circles the word that fits. It is a quick check of reading fluency and comprehension.

Use four mazes a week, each after that week's lessons, with a 3-minute silent read. Each passage is 70–93 words with 10–12 boxes. Every unit has a key page for each passage, a weekly scoring page (correct minus errors) and a progress graph with a column for every passage.
