HOW IT FITS YOUR DAILY ROUTINE
Phonemic awareness is oral: students listen and answer out loud. Hold up a card, model it, and let the class answer together. Blend, segment, add, take away and swap words and sounds while students look at the picture. The word on each card is for you; there are no letter-sound symbols to decode. Each section is color-coded, so a mixed-up deck is easy to sort.
